What is Trendnet Router Default IP Address?
The Default IP address is the website using which you can access the router’s web-interface. This web-interface is where you can change the router settings.
The IP address is pre-configured for each router, and it’s the same for all the routers of the same brand (may differ occasionally depending on exact models).
So in simpler brands, it’s the website where you can login and make changes to your router. We have shared the exact steps on how to login to Trendnet router in the later sections.
The default IP address for Trendnet router is- http://192.168.10.1.
What is Trendnet Router Default Username and Password?
The IP address above will only take you to the router’s website. But in order to login, you’d need the username and password, won’t you?
The default username and password too are preset by the company. The default username and password for majority of Trendnet routers is:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
Although for some other models, such as the TEW-659BRV, TEW-716BRG, or the TEW-656BRG it differs, and the following credentials can be used:
- Username: (Blank)
- Password: admin
Furthermore, for the TEW-737HRE model it’s:
- Username: admin
- Password: Last 8 Digit of the router’s serial number.
How to Login Trendnet Router? [ Step by Step]
Once you have the router IP address and the default username and password, you can finally log into its web-interface.
First of all, simply copy the default IP address provided above, and paste it onto your browser’s URL bar.
This would take you to the router’s login page. Here’s what it looks like. Simply enter your username and password in the respective fields.
Note that the login-page may look different depending on your exact router model. Although the process remains the same. In some cases the login page doesn’t ask for an “username” (e.g. TEG-448WS), simply enter the password and you’d be able to login.
How to Change Trendnet Router Default Username and Password?
The word “default” means the password would be the same for all the routers of the same model and brand. This makes them vulnerable.
If anyone knows what make and model your router is, they can login using the default values for your router and change crucial settings.
Hence it’s of utmost importance that you change the default values and make them something less obvious.
The first step to changing your router’s default username and password is, login to the router’s web-interface. Once done, click on “Password Setting” under “System”.
On the right-pane, enter your current password, followed by the new password (twice).
Again note that the interface and exact options will vary depending on models, but they almost always are under “Password”, “Administration”, or “Security”.
How to Change Trendnet Router WiFi Username and Password?
One of the most common uses of a router is distributing WiFi, isn’t it? Here’s how you can change the username (SSID) and the password so only authorized personnel hop onto your WiFi connection.
Changing the WiFi Password->
Login to your router, and click on “Wireless”> “Security”.
Choose one of the security modes from the drop-down list. (WPA2-PSK Mixed is an acceptable choice if you don’t know which one you should go with).
Then change the value for the “Pre-Shared Key”. This is your password.
Changing the Username->
Select “Wireless > Basic” from the left-sidebar, and change the value for the SSID. That’s your WiFi Username (obviously we’ve set it to this website’s URL, self-promotion ah!)
Trendnet router is one of the most dynamic routers. Meaning, its interface, layout and options differ for almost all individual routers depending on their models.
Even though the default username/password or the IP address remain same, you may have a hard time trying to locate more intricate settings.
Anyway throughout this guide we walked you through the physical setup process, the default credentials for the router as well as a step by step guide on changing the default login credentials.
